Best Paw Forward is the best!!!! Valerie is an amazing dog trainer. She has taught me so much and because of her I am a proud dog parent of a balanced more confident dog. I rescued a very scared insecure german shepherd pup and working with Valerie has taught me how to communicate with her and learn to be her pack leader. Also I have used her services for boarding with NO crates or kennels. She boards dogs in her home like they are apart of her family. I would highly recommend her business to anyone looking for a positive training experience without focusing on treat rewards and if you're looking to board your pups. Our Shepherd/Irish Wolfhound puppy was growing leaps and bounds, with jaws and teeth like a Piranha, but playing like she thought she was a fawn. Not! We're tall/strong people, but she was jumping all over us and biting our feet, then she went into her first heat and that was crazy for everyone in the house. Thus far, Valerie has trained her in two visits - to take on a walk with two of our other small dogs; and given excellent advice about how to socialize her. I've been able to take all three dogs on a walk around a huge Palm Springs block by myself without losing my mind. Valerie speaks "Dog."
Being in animal rescue I cross the paths of numerous dogs with problems. Before their adoption, these issues must be addressed. Valerie offered her assistance, identified the problems and set up a program for me to follow. I have had 100% resolution with every dog she worked with and I can thankfully say those dogs are now in loving homes.
The training helped so much! She gave a lot of helpful tips to get my dog rained, and she showed me all the ropes so I can work on the leash training myself. A lot of hands on learning.

Valerie Masi is a VERY experienced animal trainer and really understands the psychology of animals and fortunately puppies...a real talent, and a great help for puppy owners; especially first-timers. We learned more from 1 hour with Valerie working our new pup, than we learned from two books and watching numerous YouTube videos. There is no substitute for “hands-on” training with a professional.
