This option provides an opportunity for your dog or puppy to learn in a structured home environment. While you are away, Valerie will work on fundamental skills to get your pooch well on his or her way.
Let Valerie work on training skills while your pet is being boarded. Valerie will work on those frustrating habits such as jumping, barking, and mouthing. How about that for convenience?
Get your puppy’s training started on the right “paw” while you are away! We can’t give your dog a magic pill and take all the puppy crazies away, but we can help provide him or her with a solid foundation for future learning. Dogs have several phases of learning, and often one of the toughest is the “acquisition” phase, where your puppy first begins to learn basic behaviors such as Sit, Down, Stay, etc. Let Valerie get your puppy through the hard part, and then, during two private training sessions, she will transfer the skills to you so that you can continue building through consistency and repetition.

She will communicate openly and frequently to keep you updated on your pooch’s progress and adapt the program as needed. All effective dog training includes strengthening the bond between you and your dog. After each program, Valerie will provide follow-up training recommendations so that you can continue the training at home. At the end of your dog's stay, Valerie will bring him/her to your house where you and your dog will have a Private Training session. One additional 1-hour Private Training session is included with all Board + Train packages.
Take advantage of your dog’s stay in with Valerie to get started on some new skills and/or re-introduce some skills that he or she has become a little “rusty” on! Results will vary depending upon your dog’s starting point, but she can help provide a solid foundation for future learning. - Puppy must have been in your care for at least 7 days
- Puppy is 4 months or older
- Puppy has had ALL Distemper/Parvo (often abbreviated as DHPP) vaccinations
- Puppy has had ALL Bordetella vaccinations
- Puppy has a clean Fecal Test result
- A Puppy Socialization Agreement on file
- Please provide crate if you are including crate-training
